1. How does Hiring Work?
It Is easy, upon arrival a cuppa brewed and a dedicated work space found, you are free to browse, choose and ponder till your heart's content or time pressures allow. Once props have been compiled, our dedicated team will oversee the completion of job sheets and advise on delivery times and expectations. We will efficiently wrap and pack props, organise couriers if necessary and have the job ready for pick up.
2. Can I get a quote for my props before Hiring?
Once your job is curated, our efficent team can raise an invoice, add props to it and send a quote.
3. Is China and Co able to style jobs for me?
For those larger jobs, we highly recommend ‘getting the professionals’ in. We have a long list of fabulous stylists we would recommend.
4. I have an ‘urgent emergency’ prop request!
Not a problem, call or email us and we will quickly respond. The team is happy to help and a bike courier ordered for a swift delivery.
5. Do you have a courier company we can use?
Yes, our courier company has many years of expertise in transporting fragile smalls and surfaces. We can also recommend some highly experienced freelance drivers for those more tricky multi drop off jobs.
6. Can I send my own courier to pick props up?
Most certainly. Once the job is booked in, the team will advise a suitable pick up time and the invoice number given for a easy pick up.
7. Are you easy to drive too?
We are well situated, a 5 mins drive from the A40 and close to the bottom of the M1.
8. Can I park nearby?
It is better than that, we have 3 free parking spaces right outside the front door.
9. How do I reach you if travelling on foot?
It is easy to get to us from all corners of London. We are a 5 mins walk across a pretty park from Acton Central overground. The Central Line is a quick bus ride away and it is a 10 mins walk down to Turnham Green tube station on the District Line.
10. What do I need to become a new client?
We will ask you to fill out a ’New Client’ form and pay for the hire of your props upfront. It is a simple process.
11. Can I hire for more than 1 week?
Yes. Extended hire is available. The 2nd week’s hire is 75% of the original cost and then it is 50% there after.
12. What happens if there is a broken on the shoot?
As the hirer, any damages or brokens will be billed for. Please see our T&C’s for the full details.
13. Do you know of any local hire studios?
Our warehouse is conveniently situated near to a hub of photographic studios and we can point anyone in the right direction of the best shoot space available in London town! We can also point you in the direction of a fully working kitchen/location that is nearby.
14.Can I get any lunch or snacks during the day?
Our team will happily settle you into the workspace and offer you a cuppa. There is also a nearby cafe 5 mins walk away and a delicious Italian by the station. Plus our well stocked biscuit tin.
